Obituary of Lorraine Deworocki

Lorraine (Schumacher) Deworocki, 86, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at Morris Hall St. Joseph’s in Lawrenceville, NJ, following a long battle with Dementia. Born in Trenton, Lorraine was a lifelong resident of Hamilton for 53 years. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
Lorraine was a graduate of Trenton Central High School, class of 1954. After graduation, she worked for the State of New Jersey for many years. Following her work for the state, Lorraine went on to become a bookkeeper for the New Jersey Feed Laboratory in Trenton until her retirement.
Lorraine loved vacationing at the Jersey Shore, taking trips to Atlantic City, cheering on the Phillies, reading novels and doing crossword puzzles. Most of all, she enjoyed spending quality time with her family. Lorraine took great pride in being a grandmom and loved being with her grandson, Landon. She was also a supporter of many charities over the years. Lorraine loved dancing and could always brighten a room. She enjoyed going out to eat, having a glass of wine, and would never pass up any dessert or sweets.
Daughter of the late Casper and Catherine Schumacher; wife of the late Leonard “Lenny” Deworocki, who passed away June 5, 2021, after 58 years of marriage, mother of the late Lynn Deworocki and sister of the late John and Frank Schumacher and Helen Greener, she is survived by her beloved son, Paul Deworocki and his wife, Kristine; her grandson, Landon, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, many loyal friends and neighbors. A special thank you to the staff at Morris Hall St. Joseph’s for their love and care for Lorraine and their support to her family.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday December 5, 2022, from 9:00a.m. to 11a.m. at the Kingston and Kemp Funeral Home, 260 White Horse Ave., Hamilton, NJ. Service will be held at 11:00a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Bernadine Ave, Trenton, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lorraine’s honor to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
