Garth "Big Daddy G" Raymond, 65, passed away on September 17, 2024, in Plainsboro, NJ.
Born on August 14, 1959, in Trenton, Garth lived a life marked by kindness, generosity, and a remarkable sense of humor. His musical talent and love for karaoke were a joy to all who knew him. Garth proudly served in the Navy, where he embraced the camaraderie and discipline that shaped his later endeavors. His career included managing a Wawa, where he was beloved by both staff and customers for his cheerful leadership. He later transitioned to a role as a recruiter at Speedway, helping others find their paths just as he had found his. He continued to entertain many with his spirited karaoke nights at Tara's Tavern. Beyond his professional life, Garth was an enthusiastic karaoke singer, an avid cruiser, and always the one to light up any room with a smile. His hobbies reflected his love for life and people.
Garth is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Deane “Dee” Bredbenner Raymond; his children and their spouses, Rebecca and Steven Weinhofer and Jeremy and Julie Raymond; his grandchildren, Zachary and Breanna Weinhofer; many beloved friends; and his grand-puppies Kylo and Brew.
A memorial visitation will be held on September 27, 2024 from 10am to 12pm at Kingston and Kemp Funeral Home at 260 White Horse Ave, Hamilton Township, NJ 08610. This will be followed by entombment at Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 350 Province Line Rd, Wrightstown, NJ 08562 at 1pm.
Due to cemetery restrictions regarding flowers, contributions can be made to the Nam Knights Tri-Base Chapter, Burlington County Animal Shelter, or Harmony & Healing.
Garth's legacy of joy and kindness will be remembered by all who knew him.
