Obituary of George A. Drombosky, III

Please share a memory of George to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
George A. Drombosky, 78, of Hamilton, NJ passed away on August 1, 2024. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, he was a longtime Hamilton resident. He was member of the New Jersey National Guard for 14 years and retired from the U. S. Air Force as the Airfield Manager at McGuire AFB for a total of 43 years of Federal Civil Service. George loved his country and was very proud to serve and protect it. He also loved Pittsburgh and the Steelers, Penguins and Pirates. A devoted fan, he watched every game and, sometimes, the neighbors could hear him yelling. He also loved to collect model airplanes and, many of them, he built himself. A train enthusiast, his basement has many trains on display. He would put on a model airplane display in the hangar at McGuire AFB during the open houses. A few neighbors would help box and transport the planes to the base and set up the display. Son of the late George and Helen Drombosky and brother of the late Ann and Roy Green, he is survived by his wife of 52 years, Paulette, his brothers Kenneth and wife Cheryl of Ohio, Robert and wife Kerry of Pittsburgh, PA and John and wife Natalia of Virginia, as well as, many nieces, nephews, good friends and neighbors. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 9, 2024 at 12 Noon at St. Vincent DePaul Church, 555 Yardville-Allentown Rd., Yardville, NJ. Interment with military honors will follow at Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Rd., Wrightstown, NJ.
