Obituary of Carlo R Capra
Carlo Capra, 80, of The Villages, Florida passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at The Villages Hospital with Margaret Capra, his wife of 41 years, by his side.
Born in Vineland, NJ, he was a Native New Jerseyan before retiring to Florida.
Carl’s two passions in life was serving as a Lieutenant 1st Class with the New Jersey State Police retiring after 28 years of service. His other passion was his family and friends.
A dedicated husband and father, Carl adored his wife and throughout their 41 years of marriage,, never spent a day apart.. Their adventures took them around the world and all over the USA.. Carl loved living in the Villages, he enjoyed golf, vacations, country music, Nascar racing, the Phillies, and his antique Corvette. During his younger years, Carl was an accordion player with the Hi-Hatters musical band, playing many venues throughout NJ, including the Steel Pier in Atlantic City.
Son of the late Joseph and Helen (Iannette) Capra, he is survived by his Wife Margaret; his Sister JoAnn and husband Emmett; his Children, Joseph Korchick of Yardville, NJ, Louis Korchick and wife Gina of Cape Coral, FL, and Jeffrey Korchick of Yardville, NJ.He loved his grandchildren, Nicholas and Tami Korchick, Kelly and Vincent Cruz, Ryan, Daniel, Katie and Jack Korchick. His great grandchildren are Andrew, Ava, and Ethan. Carl leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at 10:30am in St. Raphael’s Church, 3500 S. Broad St., Hamilton.
Calling hours will be 9:30am until 10:30am at the church.
Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum, 1200 Cedar Lane, Hamilton.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
