Obituary of Eugene G. Robotin

Eugene “Gene” Robotin, 80, of Hamilton, NJ passed away on December 7, 2023, at Jefferson
Hospital due to complications from pneumonia and after a yearlong struggle with persistent
health problems.
Gene was the first born to Susan and George Robotin on September 1, 1943, in Trenton. He was
a 1962 graduate of Trenton Catholic High School. After graduation he joined the Army National
Guard.
Gene was employed for 26 years by Acme Markets and, until his recent illness, was a
security guard for the State of New Jersey, Division of State Police. He also was a member of
the Enterprise Volunteer Fire Company. Gene had a sarcastic sense of humor and was a lifelong
Phillies fan.
Throughout his lifetime, he enjoyed hunting, coaching little league, spending time
with family, traveling and going to the shooting range.
Gene was predeceased by his parents Susan and George, his daughter Florence, brother Richard
and longtime companion Kathleen Fell.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Terese of Robbinsville; grandson,
Christopher of Robbinsville; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Barbara of Hamilton, many
nieces, and nephews, as well as the Fell family, to whom he was like a father and a grandfather.
We would like to extend our deepest appreciation to the many people and facilities that were a
part of Gene’s recovery efforts over the past year: Capital Health Hopewell and Fuld campuses,
Toms River Medical Center – Respiratory Unit, St. Lawrence Rehabilitation Center, Virtua LTACH
Ventilation Hospital, Cedar Grove Long Term Respiratory Care Facility and Jefferson Hospital in
Washington Township.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Kingston and Kemp
Funeral Home, 260 White Horse Ave., Hamilton. Hamilton, NJ.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday,
December 15, at Our Lady of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church, 3816 East State Street Extension,
Hamilton, NJ.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his honor to Our Lady of Sorrows
Church, Stained Glass Restoration Fund or a charity of your choice.
