Obituary of John M. Lansing

John "Lance" Lansing, 72, of Trenton NJ, entered Eternal life on September 14, 2023, at home in Hamilton, NJ. He was born on November 18, 1950 and was a lifelong area resident. John retired from Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters Local 254 where he worked for many years as a Journeyman Carpenter.
John was a passionate fan of the New York Yankees and the Philadelphia Eagles. In his younger years he excelled in baseball. Some of John’s greatest memories were of playing baseball, coaching his son’s baseball and basketball teams and cheering on and spending time with his sidekick Brielle who affectionately called him Pappers. John was his children and grandchildren’s biggest fan, in sports and in life. John enjoyed red wine, listening to Eric Clapton and spending time with his family and friends.
John is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years Judith (Prial) Lansing, his son John W Lansing, his daughter Erin E Lansing, and his granddaughters Brielle E Lansing, Meadow Raine Lansing, and Willow Laine Lansing. He is also survived by his brother Louis A Lansing, his sisters Martha (Page) Lansing Jones and Marguerite Yordani (Art), his brother-in-law Stephen Prial, his brother-in-law Sam Redfern, his sister-in-law MaryBeth Redfern, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends, especially John and Sherry Tartaglia, Mike and Karen Acquaviva and special friend Ginger Nowakowski.
John was preceded in death by his father Louis M Lansing, his mother Mary A (Marro) Lansing, his sister Frances Devine, his sister Jane Markgraf, and his sister and brother-in-law MaryAnn and Karl Wagner.
John was proud of his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
