Raymond A. Strange, 92, of Hamilton, NJ, passed, quietly, at his home, on June 13, 2023, with family and friends by his side. A lifelong area resident, Raymond proudly served with the US Army in the Korean War. Upon completion of his tour of duty, Raymond began a successful career with NJ Bell Telephone Co., retiring after 40 years of service. After retirement, he travelled extensively with his wife Joan to a variety of locations. He was a longtime parishioner of St. Raphael’s Holy Angels Parish and cherished time with his family. Raymond enjoyed getting together with fellow classmates from high school, fishing, trips to Atlantic City with his wife Joan, solving crossword puzzles and tinkering. A spry sense of humor was one of his trademark traits. Preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Joan, and his daughter and son-in-law Eileen and Robert Delaney, he is survived by his son Stephen J. Strange, his son and daughter-in-law Patrick and Sharon Strange, his brothers and sisters-in-law Mike and Rita Strange and Gerry and Debbie Strange, his sisters Barbara and Sandy Strange, his grandsons Joshua A. Strange and wife Jessica, Ryan A. Strange and wife Jaymee, and Kevin Delaney and wife Nicole, his granddaughters Alison Glosik and husband Joseph and Caitlyn Delaney and her fiancé John Yarusinsky, his great-grandsons Brooks, Reed, Avery and Asher Strange and great-granddaughters Lily Glosik and Sloane Delaney, his sister-in-law Gail Balog and husband George, his brothers-in-law John Tomenchok and wife Barbara and Robert Tomenchok and wife Joanne, and many nieces, nephews and numerous lifelong friends scattered throughout the country. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 10:30 AM at St. Raphael’s Church, 3500 S. Broad St., Hamilton, NJ. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1200 Cedar Lane, Hamilton, NJ.
