Obituary of Anthony W. Iraca

Anthony W. Iraca, 85, of Hamilton Township passed away at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton on December 25, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.
Anthony was born June 9, 1937, in Merritstown, PA, to Antonia (Gluszek) Iraca and Patsy Iraca and resided in Hamilton Township.
Anthony was predeceased by his son, Dr. Anthony W. Iraca. Anthony is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marie (Desio) Iraca, his daughter, Valerie Preston and her partner Mark Trimble, his son, Kevin Iraca and daughter-in-law, Tracey, and his grandchildren, Abigail Iraca, Kelsey Preston and her fiancé, Dean Positero, Jacob Iraca and Matthew Preston.
Anthony served for more than 30 years in the New Jersey Army National Guard in many capacities receiving many commendations, including the Expert Marksmanship Badge. He fondly remembers his time working overseas in the Korean DMZ Zone. Anthony also worked for more than 30 years for the New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs where he was responsible for running the state garage and maintaining the Governor’s fleet for five NJ Governors.
Anthony was a sweet, loving man who adored his family, especially his grandchildren. There wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for his family. He enjoyed his many fishing trips to upstate New York, and working outside on his lawn and garden. He was an extremely handy man – there wasn’t anything he couldn’t build or fix. Anthony will be missed immensely by all who knew and loved him.
Services will be held at the Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Rd, Wrightstown, NJ, on January 11, 2023, at 1:00 p.m.
